VIDEO: 'Welcome Home' from the Most Rev. Donald Trautman, Bishop of Erie (5 min.)
Text version of Bishop Trautman's welcome message

Thank you for accepting our invitation to learn more about Catholics Come Home in the Diocese of Erie.

Whether you are on a journey into the Catholic Church or returning to the Catholic Church, you have come to a good place. Our goal is to provide you with the help you need to complete your journey of understanding the Catholic Church and its teachings more clearly. We are eager to walk with you in the practice of the faith that leads us all to Jesus Christ our Lord.

The old saying is so true: God loves you. He loves you so much that he sent his only begotten son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross and rise again from the dead to redeem and save you from sin and alienation. And, as Christ himself promised, "I will not leave you orphans" (John 14:18).

We hope you find what you are looking for on this Web site and its resources. We look forward to seeing you soon in our parishes. Welcome home, we've been waiting for you!
