Three streaming videos

The Deacon community is invited to make use of some of the excellent continuing education resources that are available to us through the generosity of Gannon University. The following links allow you to watch streaming videos of three excellent presentations given as part of the speaker series sponsored by Gannon University as part of the Eucharistic Year celebration in 2005. The presentations are both entertaining and informative.

All of the talks are excellent and worth the time to take them in. Each talk is about an hour in length. The sound quality is not perfect, as there is background noise from the audience but the sound quality is more than adequate to be able to listen to the presentations.

The first speaker is Rev. J. Glenn Murray SJ. He is a nationally recognized speaker on the topic of liturgy and pastoral ministry. He is also the Director of the Office of Pastoral Ministry in the neighboring Diocese of Cleveland. His talk is on the role of the assembly in a full and meaningful participation in the celebration of the Eucharist.

The second speaker is Sr. Margaret Carney OSF. Among her other responsibilities and achievements she is the president of St. Bonaventure University. She speaks on the impact of cultural assumptions on our experience of the Eucharist.
