Compensation for women religious 2017-18
Pastors and administrators will find attached both a letter from Bishop Lawrence Persico introducing the compensation plan for women religious for 2017-2018, and the compensation plan itself.

2018 special collection schedule for the Diocese of Erie
Pastors and administrators will find attached the 2018 special collection schedule. Please use this schedule when ordering collection envelopes for your parish(es). For questions, please contact the Chancery at 814-824-1135.

Pastors asked to encourage Worldwide Marriage Encounter
Parish priests are asked to encourage married couples to participate in Worldwide Marriage Encounter. Married couples interested in helping to make their good marriages even better are invited to a Worldwide Marriage Encounter (WWME) weekend June 23-25 at Quality Inn and Suites, 6467 Sterrettania Road, Erie. Sharon parish plans fish, palacinka dinners
St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Sharon is hosting its annual Lenten fish fry every Friday during Lent, beginning March 3 and continuing through Good Friday. Dinners are served at St. Anthony Antonium, 1237 Sherman Ave., Sharon. The cost for the fish dinner is $10; children are $7. A palacinka dinner is $6. Take-outs are available.

Fish fry planned each Friday in Linesville
St. Peter Parish, Conneautville, and St. Philip Parish, Linesville, are sponsoring Friday fish fries throughout Lent (March 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 and April 7) at St. Philip social hall, 401 S. Mercer St., Linesville. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children 10 and under. Take-outs begin at 4 p.m. by calling 814-683-4275.

Polish devotions scheduled at St. Casimir Church
Gorzkie Zale, a Polish devotion, will be held Wednesdays in Lent beginning March 8 at 7 p.m. at St. Casimir Church (Our Mother of Sorrows Parish), 629 Hess Ave., Erie. Lamentations will be sung in Polish followed by Benediction. For further information, call 814-459-7361.

St. Patrick’s Day party scheduled at Our Lady of the Lake
Our Lady of the Lake Parish in Edinboro will hold its annual St. Patrick’s Day party March 11 at Our Lady of the Lake social hall, 128 Sunset Drive. Doors will open at 5:45 p.m., with the event from 6 to 10 p.m. Advance sale tickets are $15 for a single and $5 for children ages 5 to 16. Children under 5 are admitted free. Admission at the door is $17 per person; $5 for children 5 to 16. Tickets are available at the parish office, 128 Sunset Drive, Edinboro; by calling 814-734-3113; or at Complete Wireless, 137 Erie St., Edinboro. Tickets also are sold at all weekend Masses.

Admission includes a traditional corned beef and cabbage dinner (children’s menu is available), as well as live entertainment featuring the Rince na Tiarna Irish Dancers and Tennessee Backporch. There also will be raffles, games, and a pot o’ gold drawing.

Pre-orders now accepted for Easter foods
The Holy Trinity Church Easter Market is accepting pre-orders for specially made Easter foods through March 20. See the attached flier for details on the pre-orders and the Easter Market April 7-8.

Information meeting scheduled on Marian pilgrimage
An information meeting will be held March 7 at 7 p.m. at Good Shepherd Parish social hall in West Middlesex regarding a pilgrimage planned to the sites of Our Lady’s apparitions at Fatima and Lourdes and the cities of Lisbon, Santiago de Compostela, Avila, Madrid, Montserrat and Barcelona. Msgr. Robert Malene will lead the 12-day trip Nov. 8-19, 2017. There will be a presentation from Worldstrides International and itineraries will be distributed.
