Parish Restructuring Implementation Guides
The Pastoral Planning Task Force expects clergy and parishes to receive hard copies of the Parish Restructuring Implementation Guides during the week of Jan. 23. The information will be posted at www.ErieRCD.org/planning.htm during the week of Jan. 16. As a point of clarification, all parishes with secondary churches will need to follow the new procedures outlined in the guides for parishes that are merging. In addition, parishes that were partnered prior to parish restructuring will need to follow the new procedures outlined in the guides for parishes that are partnering.

St. Bartholomew to host spaghetti dinner
The Holy Name Society of St. Bartholomew Church will host a spaghetti dinner at its parish center, 311 W. Ridge Ave., Sharpsville, Jan. 29 from noon to 4 p.m. All are welcome to attend. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. The event also will feature a bake sale, 50/50 raffles, side raffles and pull-tab games in accordance with the Pennsylvania Small Games of Chance law. Proceeds benefit the St. Bartholomew Parish Preservation Fund. Tickets can be purchased at the door or from any Holy Name Society member, or by calling 724-962-2656 or 724-962-7130. Take-outs are available.

St. Andrew Knights of Columbus Pancake Breakfast
The St. Andrew Parish Knights of Columbus will host a pancake breakfast Feb. 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mary Arundel Hall, 1116 W. 7th St., Erie. The cost is $7 for adults, $4 for children, and free for kids 4 and under. The total cost for individual families is $20.

Seven-week Discovering Christ event scheduled in Meadville
The Catholic Community of Meadville is hosting a seven-week series, titled “Discovering Christ,” scheduled Sundays from Feb. 12 to April 2 at St. Mary of Grace Parish Center,1085 Water St., Meadville. Each evening begins at 6 p.m., with dinner included. Besides dinner, there will be teaching and small-group discussion on the meaning of life in Jesus Christ.
