Motor for the Mission Road Rally
Come be a detective, one and all!

This year’s theme is “The Hunt for History” and competitors will be given clues to help them cruise the town in search of undisclosed locations. In the end, there will be prizes for the clever party that can figure it all out and earn the most points.

Here’s how it works: Teams get together and receive their first clue in the form of a riddle. The solution of the riddle tells them the location of the next clue and so on and so forth until the team collects them all. Each clue is worth points. The more a team can figure out, the more points the team can earn. Can’t figure out a clue? The team may take an easier clue or simply learn the location, but doing so is worth fewer points. At the end, the teams gather back at St. Mark Catholic Center for lunch and the top 3 teams with the most points win prizes.

There will also be an exciting basket raffle. Proceeds from the Road Rally will benefit the programs of the Mission of Friendship which is the outgrowth of the Sister Diocese relationship between the Diocese of Erie and the Archdiocese of Yucatán. Programs of the Mission of Friendship are a day care program, a clinic, and a shelter for girls and young women, as well as a sponsorship program which provides financial assistance so that children may receive education.

The Mission of Friendship also operates a Sister Parish program which fosters sharing spiritually, culturally and economically between our churches and parishes in the Archdiocese of Yucatán. All in all, the Road Rally is a fun, challenging way to help support good that touches our home diocese and our Brothers and Sisters in Yucatán. Just gather your friends into your vehicle, follow the clues, collect your points, and go for it.
