The Millennium Certificate
Into the Third Millennium with Jesus Christ
The study of the life of Jesus Christ is the account of the greatest happening of all time. We attempt to recapture some of the events of the life of Christ and how this is relevant to our lives today. Learn more about the requirements for earning the Millenium Certificate.
Cub Scouts Light of Christ The Light of Christ emblem (grades 1-2) encourages Tiger Cubs and Wolf Cub Scouts to develop a personal relationship with Jesus. With the active participation of the parent(s), we hope that the Scout will come to see Jesus as a real person and friend.
Parvuli Dei The Parvuli Dei emblem (grades 3-5) is designed to help Bear and Webelos Cub Scouts become more aware of God's presence in their daily lives, especially in their homes and communities. The program is performed with the assistance of the Scout's parent(s).
Boy Scouts Ad Altare Dei
The Ad Altare Dei emblem (grades 7-12) assists Boy Scouts of the Latin Rite to develop a fully Christian way of life in their faith Communities. The program is organized in steps based on the seven sacraments. These sacraments are a primary means toward spiritual growth. Scouts are assisted in this program by an approved religious emblems counselor.
Light Is Life
The Light Is Life emblem (grades 7-12) aids Boy Scouts of the Eastern Catholic churches in bringing about a deeper awareness of their share in faith-life. Then going forth, they will witness this life through maturity in communal worship and in Christian formation of their world. Scouts are assisted in the program by an approved religious emblems counselor.
Pope Pius XII
The Pope Pius XII emblem (grade 9-college) is for both Boy Scouts and Explorers. The program deals with church-related ministries and vocations avenues through which baptized persons commit themselves to serve humanity in obedience to God's call within our Catholic faith community. Boy Scouts and Explorers are assisted by an approved religious emblems moderator.
Adults Saint George
The Saint George Award is a recognition given by the National Catholic Committee on Scouting through the local ordinary. It is presented to those adults who have made a significant contribution to the spiritual development of Catholic youth involved in the Scouting program.
Religious Emblem - Universal Knot
The Religious Emblem - Universal Knot, No. 05007, is available to youth or leaders who have earned one of Scouting's religious emblems. Miniature program devices can be added to this knot to indicate the program in which the emblem is earned. For adults who receive the St. George Award or an adult religious emblem of another faith, a Scouter Religious Emblem Universal Knot, No. 05014, is available. The knot is worn on the uniform centered above the left breast pocket.
