Register now for Families at the Center of Faith
The Religious Education Office of the Diocese of Erie is hosting a one-day event April 24 featuring John Roberto, a national leader in the fields of faith formation, youth and young adult ministry and family catechesis. Catholic Charities Club CC Night
Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Erie invites you to enjoy Club CC Night, a celebration and continuation of the good works of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Erie, on May 12 at the Bayfront Convention Center in Erie. The lounge-like setting will feature food and drinks, dancing and entertainment, all for a wonderful cause. Local comedienne Lisa Chimenti-Foster will portray Sister Agnes as the evening’s toastmistress. Cleveland Nightclub DJ Brent Schmidt will offer music covering everything from the Rat Pack through today’s hits.
Ann and Charlie Rutkowski will be honored with the Helping Hands Award, given for outstanding service to both church and community. Tickets are $100 per person and must be purchased in advance. Diocesan wedding anniversary celebrations for summer 2018
Save the dates for the upcoming diocesan wedding anniversary celebrations sponsored by the Family Life Office of the Diocese of Erie. The celebrations will be held at:

- Ss. Cosmas and Damian Church, Punxsutawney, Aug. 19 at 2 p.m.

‘Wizard of Oz’ scheduled in DuBois
The DCC Players of DuBois Central Catholic will present the musical “Wizard of Oz” in the school’s auditorium at 200 Central Christian Road, DuBois, April 13 and 14 at 7 p.m., and April 8 and April 14 at 2 p.m. each day. Tickets are $10 for adults, $6 for students and seniors, and $3 for children 12 and under. All seats are reserved. Tickets are available by calling the secondary school’s main office at 814-371-3060, ext. 601.
MPS to present ‘Once Upon A Mattress’
Mercyhurst Preparatory School’s Performing Arts Center in Erie will present “Once Upon A Mattress” April 19, 20 and 21 at 7 p.m. each day, and on April 22 at 2 p.m. at Mercyhurst Prep, 538 E. Grandview Blvd., Erie. Tickets are available at the door one hour before performances. The cost is $10 for adults, $7 for seniors, and $5 for students.
Father DeSiano, CSP, to lead parish mission
All are invited to join the Church of the Beloved Disciple Parish in Grove City as it conducts its parish mission April 22-24, beginning each day at 7 p.m. The theme of the mission is "Being a Disciple Today." Father Frank DeSiano, CSP, former president of the Paulist Fathers, will be the mission leader. Each evening will explore what being a disciple means today.
Church choir to perform at St. Peter Cathedral
The choir from the Episcopal Cathedral of St. Paul in Erie will present an evening of song on Sunday, April 22, beginning at 5 p.m. at St. Peter Cathedral in downtown Erie. Sharon Downey will direct the choir. The performance will be followed by an organ recital by Ethan LaPlaca of Pittsburgh. The evening’s events are free and open to the public.
Golf and sports raffle to benefit parish
Our Lady of Mercy Parish in Harborcreek and its Knights of Columbus will hold their annual golf and sports raffle May 11 from 6 to 11 p.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, 857 Bartlett Road. Tickets are available in the parish office Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., or by calling there at 814-899-5342. Tickets also are available at the door the night of the raffle. The cost is $10 a ticket and includes food, beverages, and a chance on 19 great prizes. The grand prize is a cruise trip for two to Bermuda.
Widowed, divorced, separated?
Transitions is a monthly peer ministry for those who are widowed, divorced or separated. The next meeting is May 20 from 2 to 4 p.m. at St. Mark Catholic Center, 429 E. Grandview Blvd., Erie.
