Bishop invites parishioners to Re-membering Our Sunday Story
A letter to the faithful of the Diocese of Erie and a pastoral letter, both from Bishop Lawrence Persico, are available online as the diocese launches its special Re-membering Our Sunday Story campaign. “The sacrifices and deprivations brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic are causing us to rethink priorities,” he writes in the one-page letter to the people of the diocese. “As protocols are eased, parishioners are discovering a deeper appreciation for what it means to gather for Mass, to receive the Eucharist and to be part of a community.” Both the letter and the pastoral letter can be found at www.Eriercd.org/SundayStoryPastoralLetter.html.

Domain Registry scam alert
Domain Registry is a scam that targets businesses in an effort to steal money. Scam letters arrive through the U.S. Postal Service often around the time of the actual renewal of your domain name. The letters are expertly crafted to fool website owners. The top heading reads, “Domain Name Expiration Notice." Nowhere does it explicitly state that it is your current domain name registrar. If you don’t know where your domain name is registered, you might assume you need to pay. Do not be duped. If you do not know where your domain name is registered, contact Kathy Papalia at it@eriercd.org or call 814-824-114. If your domain was registered through the diocese, you will receive an invoice through Kathy. If your domain was not registered through the diocese, your domain registrar would contact you electronically. See the attachment for an example of a fraudulent invoice from Domain Registry.
