The Diocese of Erie Information Bulletin advertises and promotes activities and events sponsored by diocesan entities such as parishes, schools, religious communities and groups. The IB is unable to advertise or promote activities or events not sponsored by such entities. Submissions may run a maximum of two editions. The administrative offices of the diocese reserve the right to edit submissions.

Christmas Masses listed for parishes across the diocese
The Communications Office of the Diocese of Erie has posted a listing of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Masses at all parishes that responded to a survey published in the Information Bulletin. Find the listing at www.eriercd.org/christmas.html. To ensure the information is accurate, all are invited to double-check the information for their parish. Updates can be emailed to Rich Papalia at rpapalia@ErieRCD.org.
Diocese releases Catholic Services Appeal goals for 2022
Pastors, administrators and parish business managers are asked to read the attached memo and attached spreadsheet from Financial Services of the Diocese of Erie regarding parish goals for the 2022 Catholic Services Appeal.
2022 confirmation schedule
The 2022 confirmation schedule is now available. The attached document includes the dates for confirmations in the Diocese of Erie, as well as new details on preparing confirmation liturgies. Please contact the Office of Worship at 814-824-1271 with any questions. If any changes are made in the schedule during the year, the confirmation schedule will be updated on the Worship Office web page. Please go to www.eriercd.org/bishop/worship.html for the most up-to-date information through 2022.
Cursillo weekends planned for men and women in the spring
The Erie Cursillo Movement is currently planning and accepting candidate applications for a Men’s Cursillo Feb. 11-13, 2022, and a Women’s Cursillo April 29 to May 1, 2022. Applications can be found at www.eriecursillo.org or by calling the Cursillo office at 814-824-1119. If interested, ask someone you know who has completed a Cursillo weekend to serve as your sponsor.

Living Nativity planned at Erie parish
Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, 1531 E Grandview Blvd., Erie, will hold its first Living Nativity on Dec. 19 from 6 to 7:15 p.m. Parking attendants will direct traffic. There will be a donkey and goats on-hand, as well as free hot chocolate. For more information, contact Sue Berdis at 814 825-7313, ext. 5.
First Friday for Families planned throughout 2022
Join Blessed Sacrament Parish, 1626 W. 26th St., Erie, for First Fridays for Families to help better connect with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Every First Friday in 2022, beginning Jan. 7 and continuing through Dec. 2, 2022, there will be a guided Eucharistic Adoration program geared toward children of all ages and their families. Bethany Retreat Center offers retreats in 2022
Bethany Retreat Center in Frenchville has a variety of retreats planned for 2022. Go to www.bethanyretreatcenter.org to see what retreats are in the works. In addition, Bethany offers private retreats for groups and organizations and personal retreats for individuals wishing to get away for silence and solitude. To inquire, call 814-263-4855.
