The Diocese of Erie Information Bulletin advertises and promotes activities and events sponsored by diocesan entities such as parishes, schools, religious communities and groups. The IB is unable to advertise or promote activities or events not sponsored by such entities. Submissions may run a maximum of two editions. The administrative offices of the diocese reserve the right to edit submissions.

Pastors and administrators: Online giving webinar offered
Pastors and parish administrators may review the attached information about a webinar, titled “Online Giving in Ministry Platform,” from the Diocese of Erie’s new parish management solution company. The webinar, given by Vanco, Ministry Platform’s online giving provider, is scheduled for Jan. 18, 2022, at 10 a.m.

REEF grant opportunity
The Religious Education Enrichment Fund (REEF) of the Diocese of Erie has four grant cycles per year. Nearly $180,000 in REEF grants was awarded in 2021. The 2022 first quarter cycle deadline is Jan. 1, 2022. Three types of funding opportunities are available for individuals, parishes, schools and other diocesan-affiliated entities: 1) Leadership training for professional education and training; 2) Creative project for faith-based formation start-up projects; and 3) Ministry training for conferences, workshops and non-degree certificate courses. Diocese releases Catholic Services Appeal goals for 2022
Pastors, administrators and parish business managers are asked to read the attached memo and attached spreadsheet from Financial Services of the Diocese of Erie regarding parish goals for the 2022 Catholic Services Appeal.

2022 confirmation schedule
The 2022 confirmation schedule is now available. The attached document includes the dates for confirmations in the Diocese of Erie, as well as new details on preparing confirmation liturgies. Please contact the Office of Worship at 814-824-1271 with any questions. If any changes are made in the schedule during the year, the confirmation schedule will be updated on the Worship Office web page. First Fridays for Families

First Fridays for Families planned throughout 2022
Join Blessed Sacrament Parish, 1626 W. 26th St., Erie, for First Fridays for Families to help better connect with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Every First Friday in 2022, beginning Jan. 7 and continuing through Dec. 2, 2022, there will be a guided Eucharistic Adoration program geared toward children of all ages and their families. Each Adoration begins at 6 p.m. A flier is attached for convenience. For questions, contact Jen Durney at jdurney@bserie.org.
