2020 Help Spread the Faith collection
Pastors and administrators will find attached Bishop Lawrence Persico’s letter introducing the 2020 Help Spread the Faith (Communications) Collection. Parishes are asked to publicize this collection in a significant way on the weekend of Jan. 18-19.
Diocese of Erie changes mileage reimbursement rate
The mileage reimbursement rate in the Diocese of Erie has changed for 2020. Effective Jan. 1, 2020, the mileage rate will decrease from 58 cents per mile to 57.5 cents per mile for all ministry-related mileage. This is based on the new IRS allowable rate. Schools and parishes are advised to make note of the change for any future reimbursement requests.
What are you doing for 2020’s March for Life?
All seventh grade through high school students are welcome to pray, rally and march at the 2020 National March for Life in Washington, D.C., Jan. 23-24. Departure will be Jan. 23 at 9:30 p.m. from Our Lady of Peace Church in Erie, returning Jan. 24 at 11 p.m. The Youth Rally and Mass for Life will be held at the Capital One Arena in downtown Washington in conjunction with the March for Life event.
