This week’s fundraising best practices during the pandemic
How are you doing with offertory? Friendly reminders to parishioners can make all the difference. Here are some ideas:

  • If you livestream Mass on Facebook, place a message encouraging offertory support and a link to your parish (or the Catholic Foundation) donation page in the comment section.
  • During livestreaming of Mass, mention offertory at the time it would occur during Mass; remind viewers that offertory is more important than ever and can be made online, mailed in, dropped off, etc.
  • Use email, the parish bulletin and/or the parish website to thank parishioners for continuing their offertory giving. This also serves as a subtle reminder.

Whether you livestream Mass or not, you can promote offertory giving through your social media platforms. Attached are sample posts that may be used. Also, here are some suggested texts that may be used in the header of those posts:

Music director needed at St. Joseph/Bread of Life Community
St. Joseph/Bread of Life Community in Erie is seeking a part-time music director who would be responsible for the development, promotion and growth of the music program of the parish community. Qualified candidates must have the experience and ability to lead both traditional and contemporary styles of worship within the Catholic liturgy.
