Dissolution of the Warren Deanery
In a continuation of the ongoing pastoral planning process, Bishop Lawrence Persico announces the dissolution of the Warren Deanery. Those parishes formerly belonging to this deanery will become part of adjoining deaneries. Please see the attached decree for more details.

Benedictines for Peace to hold Silent Walk for Peace
Benedictines for Peace in Erie will hold their Silent Walk for Peace June 19 from 7 to 7:30 p.m. at the Bayfront Connector Trail, beginning at the Liberty Park parking lot, 726 West Bayfront Parkway, Erie. Participants will walk in silence from the parking lot and eastward on the Bayfront Connector Trail. The goal of the 20-minute walk is to bring peace to our hearts, families, communities, nation, world and all of creation.
Life in the Spirit retreat scheduled June 21-22
“The Gift,” a Life in the Spirit retreat, will be offered June 21-22 at St. Mary of Grace social hall, 1085 Water St., Meadville. Unwrap the gift of faith in the power of the Holy Spirit with praise and worship music, a DVD presentation, small group sharing and lunch and refreshments. Erie Catholic School System raffling Mustang
The Erie Catholic School System is holding its premier fundraiser for the year: a raffle of a 1967 Ford Mustang 289 V8 Coupe. The car will be on display outside St. George Church, 5145 Peach St., Erie, through September, when the drawing is held. Proceeds benefit the Erie Catholic Education Fund, which provides scholarships to families seeking financial assistance. Only 4,800 tickets will be sold for $20 per ticket. Cruz-In rumbles into Lucinda in July
Plan now to attend and/or participate in the 10th annual Jen Zacherl Memorial Cruz-In at the Antler Club of Lucinda, 231 Sunset Drive. Proceeds will benefit St. Joseph School in Lucinda. T-shirts and dash plaques will be given to the first 200 cars. There will be cash prizes, a gift auction, door prizes and a handmade quilt raffle. There is no registration fee.
