Attention, pastors and music directors
The FCC has changed the rules for wireless microphones. The 600-megahertz spectrum/band has been re-allocated to commercial use only. Please contact your audio/visual supplier to determine if your equipment is still usable. This change pertains to all forms of wireless microphones, including lavalier/lapel mics. Rebates may exist to help defray the cost of replacing affected devices. T-Mobile already owns the 600-MHz band. As soon as it starts utilizing this frequency in your area, you are required to stop using 600-MHz microphones. Otherwise, affected microphones may stop working without warning. T-Mobile’s reach includes Pennsylvania, which is noted on page 21 at https://www.t-mobile.com/content/dam/t-mobile/corporate/media-library/public/documents/T-Mobile-LTE-A-Cities-and-Towns.pdf/_jcr_content/renditions/original.
