Diocesan 2017 Financial Report published

High school boys invited to four-day retreat
The Diocese of Erie and the Diocese of Greensburg are teaming up for their first annual Quo Vadis Days (QVD) at St. Philip Church and Retreat Center in Linesville July 8-11. This retreat/camp is designed for high school boys who are considering seminary formation and the priesthood, and who are striving to follow God’s call in their lives. Erie Bishop Lawrence T. Persico and Greensburg Bishop Edward C. Malesic will celebrate Masses. Other visiting priests will give talks and seminarians will be on hand throughout the week. Silent Walk for Peace
Erie’s Benedictines for Peace will hold a Silent Walk for Peace June 20 from 7 to 7:30 p.m. along the Bayfront Promenade beginning and ending at the Bayview Park near Cherry Street. The walk promotes inner peace that eliminates fear, divisions and hatred and brings about peace and unity in the world. All are welcome.

Enjoy a festival, chicken dinner
Our Lady of Mercy Parish will host its annual festival and chicken dinner July 8 from noon to 5 p.m. at the church, 837 Bartlett Road, Harborcreek. Dine in or take out. There will be a 50/50 and giveaways, including a 55-inch TV, $1,000 grand prize and an iPad. Enjoy a gift auction, pony rides, children and adult games, bingo and a book sale. The dinner is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for children 5 and under. A Chicken Run will be held July 7 at 8:30 a.m. Go to www.ourladyofmercychurch.org for details.
