2018 Good Friday Collection for the Holy Land
Pastors and administrators will find attached Bishop Lawrence Persico’s letter introducing the 2018 Pontifical Good
Friday Collection for the Holy Land. Parishes are asked to publicize this collection in a significant way on the
weekend of March 24-25.
2018-19 compensation plan for women religious

The board of directors of Camp Notre Dame is requesting the help of pastors to find enthusiastic college students
and recent high school graduates for the 2018 summer camp staff. Please see the attached letter from Father Mark
Nowak. The letter includes a suggested announcement for publication in parish bulletins.
Formation opportunity for liturgical musicians
The Erie Diocese Chapter of the Association of National Pastoral Musicians (NPM) will present “Renewing Our
Conversion—Music for Lent” at Queen of the World Parish, St. Marys, on April 15 at 2:30 p.m. Please see the
attached flier for details. This event is the second part of an ongoing series, “Singing the Liturgical Year.”
CDSG Divorce Ministry to return in April
The Catholic’s Divorce Survival Guide (CDSG Divorce Ministry) will be held weekly from April 4 to May 23 (eight

Good Friday Collection
Evening of prayer and music scheduled in Falls Creek
An evening of prayer and music will be held March 18 beginning at 6 p.m. at St. Bernard Church, 205 Taylor Ave.,
Falls Creek. The evening will include a homily, Scripture reading and prayers for healing with Father Mark Mastrian.

DuBois Central Catholic to host Palm Sunday events
DuBois Central Catholic’s junior class and parents are hosting a spaghetti dinner on Palm Sunday, March 25, from
11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the school cafeteria, 200 Central Christian Road, DuBois. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for
children under 12. Take-outs will be available. All proceeds will benefit this year’s junior-senior prom. During the
dinner, the school’s annual seventh grade science fair projects will be exhibited in the school gym. Also, the spring
book fair will be open to the public in the elementary school library.
Mothers and daughters invited to annual tea
All mothers (or female role models) and their daughters, ages 11 to 13, are welcome to attend an annual Mother-
Daughter Tea sponsored by the Chastity Education Office of the Diocese of Erie. A tea will be offered at two sites
- April 15, noon to 4:30 p.m., St. Mark Catholic Center, 439 East Grandview Blvd., Erie
- April 22, 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., St. Boniface Church, 355 Main St., Kersey.

The Catholic Foundation of Northwest Pennsylvania is seeking a full-time communication and event specialist to
contribute to all aspects of donor relations for the Catholic Foundation and its constituents. Duties include print and
digital communication initiatives, PR and promotion, event planning and donor engagement.
Required qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3-plus years of experience within donor relations and event planning spheres
- Excellent creative writing and proofreading skills
- Proficiency with a broad range of computer software principles, including Microsoft Office, donor database
- management and digital communication platforms
- Ability to supervise projects and budgets and to lead and energize work groups
- Knowledge of Catholic stewardship principles a plus.
