24 Hours for the Lord
The Diocese of Erie will celebrate 24 Hours for the Lord March 20-21 at St. Peter Cathedral, 230 W. 10th St., Erie. The event is an initiative of our Holy Father with an emphasis on adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and the sacrament of reconciliation. St. Peter Cathedral will be open for the whole 24 hours, with adoration and confession available during that time. Confessions will begin on March 20 at 5:45 p.m., and continue until March 21 at 3:30 p.m. For a complete program schedule, see the attached flier, which pastors are encouraged to display and/or insert in their bulletins. Catholic Foundation grant application deadline approaching

Spiritual Formation Opportunity Day cancelled
The Faith Formation Office of the Diocese of Erie has cancelled its Spiritual Formation Opportunity Day scheduled at three locations in the diocese this month. Anyone with questions may call Mary Hickin at 814-824-1222.
Women’s Conference cancelled
The 1:38 Women’s Conference, scheduled March 28 at Our Lady of Peace Parish, has been cancelled.
St. Mark Seminary Auxiliary card party cancelled
The St. Mark Seminary Auxiliary has cancelled its April 16 card party at St. Mark Catholic Center. The event is the organization’s only fundraiser to benefit St. Mark Seminary in Erie. The auxiliary already has sold tickets for a cash raffle but is accepting ongoing donations. Checks may be made payable to the St. Mark Seminary Auxiliary and mailed to St. Mark Catholic Center, c/o St. Mark Seminary Auxiliary, 429 E. Grandview Blvd., Erie, PA 16504. The auxiliary thanks the community for its ongoing support.

Evening of prayer and music in Falls Creek
An evening of prayer and music will be held March 22 beginning at 6 p.m. at St. Bernard Church in Falls Creek. Father Edward Walk, pastor, will lead the evening, which will include a Scripture reading, a homily, Benediction and prayers for healing. Music will be provided by Shalom. Get ready for Designer Purse Bingo
Harborcreek Youth Services invites the public to its third annual Designer Purse Bingo event April 26 at St. Boniface Coleman Hall, 9367 Wattsburg Road, Erie. Doors open at noon. Bingo starts at 1 p.m. There will be pull tabs, tip boards, a 50/50 and a gift auction. Pre-sale tickets are $25 through April 25. Tickets are $30 the day of the event. Reserved tables of eight are available for $160. A ticket includes 15 bingo games (six cards per game) and a bingo dauber. Save the date: Mercy Sisters to host April gala
The Sisters of Mercy in Erie are hosting an “Irish Spring with the Sisters of Mercy” gala April 30 from 6 to 9 p.m. at their motherhouse, 444 E. Grandview Blvd., Erie. This marks the kickoff of celebrations marking the 150th anniversary of the Mercy presence in northwest Pennsylvania. The gala will feature Irish music, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, a juried art show, and an opportunity to win gift packages and a trip for two to Dublin, Ireland, to see the Notre Dame vs. Navy football game Aug. 29.
