The Diocese of Erie Information Bulletin advertises and promotes activities and events sponsored by diocesan entities such as parishes, schools, religious communities and groups. The IB is unable to advertise or promote activities or events not sponsored by such entities. Submissions may run a maximum of two editions. The administrative offices of the diocese reserve the right to edit submissions.

Simply Celebrating Advent and Christmas micro-site has launched
Pastors and parishes are encouraged to help promote a new website created by the Office of Faith Formation and the Communications Office to help people find simple, creative ways to celebrate Advent and Christmas at home in a year like no other. Visit www.eriercd.org/christmas.html for everything from Advent wreath ideas to a Christmas week prayer service that can be offered in the home or with loved ones who are far away using technology. In addition, a link to a listing of Christmas Eve and Christmas Masses being offered at parishes across the diocese, both in person and via livestream, will go live on the site beginning Dec. 10.
No sale of olivewood carvings and gifts in parishes or schools
Pastors are reminded that no group or individual has permission to sell olivewood articles and other gifts in support of Christians in the Holy Land in parishes or schools in the Diocese of Erie. The diocese is exploring other ways to assist our brothers and sisters in the Holy Land. Pre-orders now accepted for diocesan directory
The Office of Communications is now accepting pre-orders for the 2021 Diocese of Erie Directory. The cost is $25 each. Orders received by Dec. 31, 2020, will receive free shipping. Orders received Jan. 1, 2021, and later will pay $6.50 shipping and handling. A mail-friendly order form is attached, or you can place an order online at https://www.ErieRCD.org/news/directory.html. Anticipated mail distribution is late January. For questions or to place an order by phone, call Brenda Williams at 814-824-1161.
