Today’s gospel reminds us that Mary and Joseph were not “perfect” parents. If your child’s words have ever “amazed” or “astonished” you, you are in good company. Mary and Joseph also “didn’t understand” their child at times and felt “anxious” about his behavior. Parenting is difficult, but it can also be a path to holiness.
