In today’s gospel, Jesus warns that "what comes from within can defile" a person. Families need to be concerned not only about "outside influences" but also about "inside influences." The values our children carry for a lifetime are learned at home. The habits of the heart are the most powerful influences on a child. This can be good or bad news, depending on what’s being learned!
