The Diocese of Erie Information Bulletin advertises and promotes activities and events sponsored by diocesan entities such as parishes, schools, religious communities and groups. The IB is unable to advertise or promote activities or events not sponsored by such entities. Submissions may run a maximum of two editions. The administrative offices of the diocese reserve the right to edit submissions.

Diocesan Directory surveys due today
The Communications Office is considering significant changes to the format and content of the annual directory it publishes for the Diocese of Erie. A survey has been emailed to a wide array of people who use the directory. If you received a survey, please remember to go to https://form.jotform.com/eriediocese/directory to fill it out no later than today. It should take less than five minutes to complete. Thank you.
Change of address for Oil City parish, churches
The mailing address for St. Joseph Parish in Oil City has changed from 210 Reed St., to 35 Pearl Ave., Oil City, PA 16301. This change applies to St. Joseph Parish, as well as St. Stephen and St. Venantius churches, and Father John Miller and Father Ian McElrath.
Save the date for 2022 priesthood ordination
Bishop Lawrence Persico has announced that the next priesthood ordination will be on Friday, May 27, 2022, at 7 p.m. at St. Patrick Church, Erie. Priests, deacons, parish/school staff and leaders of ministry are asked to mark the date in their 2022 calendars to avoid any schedule conflicts and to allow for the greatest possible participation of clergy, religious and lay faithful.

Faith Formation offers News and Notes
The Faith Formation Office of the Diocese of Erie has issued its latest News and Notes highlighting a new initiative to welcome people back to Mass following the COVID-19 pandemic. The initiative is called “Re-membering Our Sunday Story.” This installment of News and Notes also covers a new marriage preparation opportunity in the diocese, as well as a parish-based grief ministry program under consideration. Priest and former Pittsburgh Pirates player to lead parish mission
Blessed Sacrament Parish in Erie is sponsoring a parish mission/retreat featuring Father Kevin MacDonald, CSsR, a Redemptorist priest from Woburn, Massachusetts, and a former professional baseball player with the Pittsburgh Pirates. The retreat will be held at the church, 1626 W. 26th St., Erie, June 12-16 beginning at 7 p.m. each day. Each evening’s program will last about one hour and consist of a proclamation of the Word, reflection, singing and prayer. Father MacDonald is a member of the Boston College Hall of Fame and currently is assigned to the Redemptorist community in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Employment opportunities available at St. Martin Early Learning Center
St. Martin Early Learning Center in Erie is hiring five full-time positions and is offering a $500 new employee bonus paid out over six months. A minimum of an associate degree in child development is required, however, a degree in education or human services is preferred. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain clearances. In addition to the full-time position, St. Martin Early Learning Center is seeking summer help (a minimum of a high school diploma is required, but an associate degree in early childhood or human services is preferred). The $500 bonus is only offered to non-seasonal employees. Bilingual individuals are encouraged to apply.
