The Diocese of Erie Information Bulletin advertises and promotes activities and events sponsored by diocesan entities such as parishes, schools, religious communities and groups. The IB is unable to advertise or promote activities or events not sponsored by such entities. Submissions may run a maximum of two editions. The administrative offices of the diocese reserve the right to edit submissions.

Catholic Social Ministry Grant opportunity
The Catholic Foundation of Northwest Pennsylvania is now accepting applications for its newly established Catholic Social Ministry Grant. Those eligible to apply for these grants are affiliate agencies of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Erie, Inc., as well as departments of the Diocese of Erie and parishes working in collaboration with diocesan offices in support of family ministries, justice and peace, respect life, parish social ministry, persons with disabilities, and natural family planning. Call for professional singers
The St. Peter Cathedral Adult Choir is holding auditions this summer for section leaders (soprano, alto, tenor and bass). Section leaders assist the director of liturgical music in the pursuit of achieving and maintaining artistic and musical excellence within a Catholic, religious and prayerful environment. The section leaders provide the opportunity for the choir to sing more challenging and quality choral music, while at the same time helping to improve the musical skills and overall confidence of the volunteer singers. The St. Joseph/Bread of Life Youth Ministry in Erie, in partnership with St. Francis Xavier Parish, McKean, invites ninth through 12th-graders to the M.E.E.T. God Youth Conference June 25-27. Please see the attached flier for complete details and registration information.



Parishes are selling worship aids
St. Eulalia Parish, Coudersport, and St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish, Port Allegany, are selling card-stock worship aids they are no longer using. A total of 200-plus copies of these items are available and in very good to excellent condition. They are Missa Simplex assembly cards by Richard Proulx and Michael O’Connor, copyright 2010, 2011 World Library Publications. The cost is 25 cents each, plus shipping. Description: chant-style Mass; English includes Kyrie, Gloria, Gospel acclamations, Holy, Holy, Holy, three memorial acclamations, Amen and Lamb of God. Seton Catholic hiring music, art teacher
Seton Catholic School in Meadville is seeking a full-time music and art teacher. This is a permanent position starting in the 2021-22 school year. Music teaching certification is a must and art teaching certification is preferred. Erie Cursillo’s executive officers and spiritual director are looking for an office manager/administrative assistant to handle routine office tasks necessary for the support of Cursillo activities. The position is classified as part-time non-exempt and provides a maximum of 25 hours each week with most full weeks occurring prior to scheduled retreats.
