Happiness: Part 2. Living in poverty is no fun. Voluntary simplicity, however, can be very satisfying especially when a couple has mutual goals of charity and service that they explore together. It doesn’t mean you never splurge or have a few nice things, but rather these “things” are not the ultimate source of joy in your relationship. Try choosing one household item you can live without and give it to someone who needs it more than you do this week. See my blog if you need ideas.
