Note for pastors and those preparing confirmation candidates
Bishop Lawrence Persico has dispensed confirmation candidates from the requirement of writing a letter to him this year. However, if the letters have already been written, the bishop would be happy to receive them. Letters may be sent to his office at St. Mark Catholic Center, 429 E. Grandview Blvd., Erie, PA 16504.

Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church
Priests and deacons are reminded that the Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church is celebrated this year on Monday, June 1. Bishop Persico’s town hall available on diocesan website
Those interested in watching Bishop Lawrence Persico’s May 21 town hall Zoom meeting may access it through a banner at www.ErieRCD.org. The bishop addressed the gradual approach to restoring public worship in northwest Pennsylvania while keeping in effect the dispensation from the obligation to attend Mass.

St. Mark Catholic Center re-opens
St. Mark Catholic Center in Erie re-opened for in-person business on May 26, but some employees will continue to work remotely and will respond to email and voicemail messages. The diocese is committed to monitoring the latest information available from reliable sources regarding the pandemic.
