John the Baptist celebrated on Sunday this year
The Nativity of St. John the Baptist, June 24, falls on a Sunday this year and supplants the usual prayers and readings. Time to register for National Conference on Catholic Youth Ministry
Register now for the National Conference on Catholic Youth Ministry (NCCYM) to be held Dec. 6-8 at the Tampa Convention Center in Florida. This conference is designed to inspire, strengthen and nourish those who accompany young people as they encounter and follow Jesus Christ. Early bird registration ends July 15. Scholarship applications are due June 1 and are available at https://tinyurl.com/region3nccym. Scholarship applications must be returned to Christie Smith at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Scramble scheduled at Venango Valley Golf Course
Join the ninth annual Holy Rosary (Erie) Golf Scramble June 27 at Venango Valley Golf Course in Venango, Erie County. The cost is $80 per person. The event is open to women and men over 21 years of age. Sign in at 11 a.m., enjoy lunch and be ready for the shotgun start at noon. A goodie bag will be provided for all players. DuBois parishes seek youth ministry coordinator
The Roman Catholic parishes of the DuBois area are seeking a full-time coordinator for youth ministry. The successful candidate will be responsible for laying the groundwork for middle school and high school youth ministry that follows Comprehensive Youth Ministry as set forth by the USCCB in Renewing the Vision.
- Bachelor’s degree in catechetics, pastoral ministry, or a related field
- Must be a Catholic in good standing
- A self-starter able to work independently and as part of several parish teams
- Computer, technology and multi-media skills
- Experience with LIFETEEN is preferred, but not required.
- Confirmation preparation
- Planning and executing of social and service activities
- Leadership development for volunteers and teens
- Ongoing collaboration and communication with parish leaders
- Diocesan safe environment background clearance.
