Custom has it that Friday the 13th is an unlucky day. If your kids complain about having bad luck (on a test, in friends, after an accident…) you might respond with something like, “Yes, sometimes we truly are unlucky, just as sometimes we luck into things we don’t fully deserve. Hopefully these times balance out in life. But sometimes bad “luck” follows bad choices. Good choices increase your odds of good luck.”
