It’s natural to want to save our children from their difficulties or mistakes. Don’t be too quick to rescue, however. A research study of 400 high achievers (like Churchill and Einstein) showed that ¾ of them came from poverty or troubled childhoods. ¼ of them had physical handicaps. Overcoming an obstacle can strengthen a child. Support your children but often it’s best to let them do things themselves – the hard way.
