“When they failed to find [Jesus], [Mary and Joseph] went back to Jerusalem looking for him everywhere.” (Luke 2:45) Have you ever lost your child – actually or figuratively? Panic or grief set in. Often there are parental recriminations (I should have been more attentive; I should have monitored his tech use more closely…) Like the mother in Runaway Bunny, never stop seeking to connect, even when they are grown.
