Is your child a whiner, complainer, or blamer? Sometimes it’s just a stage, but sometimes parents unwittingly encourage these traits by responding to the whines when they get annoyed enough. All this teaches is to complain longer. Teach your child to take responsibility for his or her mistakes, fix it, or learn from it. It might not have been their fault but making excuses and blaming doesn’t solve anything except make you look like a wimp. Model it.
