Safe Environment Required Clearances and Forms

Diocesan policy requires that all personnel including a priest, religious, deacon, seminarian, pastoral minister, employee, school employee, parish employee, contract employee must possess clearances and trainings listed under their appropriate heading. This includes any individual 14 years of age or older in a paid position as an employee responsible for the welfare of a child or having direct contact with children. Additionally, any volunteer (unpaid, regular and occasional) who has direct contact with or responsibility for children must also possess clearances and trainings listed under their appropriate heading.

Priest, Religious, Deacon, Seminarian, Diaconate Candidates

Non-School Employee (Anyone who is paid on a full time, part time or stipend basis and has direct
contact with or responsibility for children.)

School Employee (Anyone who receives any compensation from the school, including stipends)

Contracted Employees (Providers of contracted services that have direct contact with children as defined in the Policy.)

Youth ages 14-17 receiving salary or stipend who supervise other children

Non-School Regular Volunteer (Adults who perform a parish related service in which they have direct volunteer contact
with or responsibility for children on an unpaid full or part time basis.)

School Regular Volunteer (Adults who performs a school related service in which they have direct volunteer contact with or responsibility for children on an unpaid full or part time basis.)

Non-School & School Occasional Volunteer (Adult who performs a parish/school related service for children on an irregular basis.)

Volunteer Drivers (Adults over the age of 21 who will be transporting minors to/from a parish/school
activity/event In their personal vehicle or in a rented vehicle.)
