250 Hours of Adoration

As the United States prepares to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, Catholics are invited to join in prayer for the unity and healing of our country.

From June 11 through July 4, the Diocese of Erie invites the faithful to participate in 250 Hours of Adoration. The goal is simple: 250 people offering one hour of prayer before the Blessed Sacrament.

Each person who spends one hour in adoration helps bring the diocese closer to this shared offering of prayer. Together, these hours become a powerful witness of faith, hope and trust in Christ’s presence.

This initiative is part of a national Catholic effort connected to America 250. The U.S. bishops are encouraging Catholics to pray for unity and healing as the country prepares for this historic anniversary, including through 250 Hours of Adoration and 250 Works of Mercy.

How to participate

Spend one hour in Eucharistic Adoration between June 11 and July 4.
You may participate at your parish, chapel or any location where Eucharistic Adoration is offered. After your hour of prayer, let us know so your participation can be counted toward the diocesan goal of 250 hours.
