The deadline for submissions is Thursday, Dec. 15, at 4:30 p.m.

The Diocese of Erie Information Bulletin advertises and promotes activities and events sponsored by diocesan entities such as parishes, schools, religious communities and groups. The IB is unable to advertise or promote activities or events not sponsored by such entities. Submissions may run a maximum of two editions. The administrative offices of the diocese reserve the right to edit submissions.

Mission Office collections funds reminder
Pastors and administrators are reminded, if you have not already done so, to please submit to the Diocesan Mission Office the funds from the Collection for the Church in Latin America and World Mission Sunday Collection 2022 as soon as possible. In general, the proceeds of these collections should be sent to the Mission Office soon afterward so that funds can be forwarded to their recipients before the end of the year. Special retreat opportunity for young adults between 19 and 35
The Diocese of Erie is sponsoring a five-day retreat for college age and young adults under the age of 35 on Jan. 4 to 8. The retreat will take place at the Villa Maria Education and Spirituality Center, 2067 Evergreen Rd, Pulaski, Pennsylvania. Applications are still being accepted but space is limited. For more information contact either of the retreat organizers, Jillian Zaczyk at jzaczyk@eriercd.org or Dave Roncolato at droncola@allegheny.edu. Fostering intimacy with God through silence and stillness
The Bethany Retreat Center in Frenchville is hosting an Introduction to Centering Prayer retreat with Sister Ruth Ann Madera on Jan. 27 to 29 at the Bethany Retreat Center, 1031 Germania Rd., Frenchville. Six additional follow-up sessions will be scheduled throughout 2023. Centering prayer is a method of silent prayer that prepares a person to receive the gift of contemplative prayer.
