The Diocese of Erie Information Bulletin advertises and promotes activities and events sponsored by diocesan entities such as parishes, schools, religious communities and groups. The IB is unable to advertise or promote activities or events not sponsored by such entities. Submissions may run a maximum of two editions. The administrative offices of the diocese reserve the right to edit submissions.

In 2023, Christmas Day falls on a Monday. Please refer to the attachment for direction from Bishop Persico regarding norms for Christmas Masses.

NFP Awareness Week
Natural Family Planning supports God’s gifts of love and life in marriage. Did you know that modern methods of Natural Family Planning (NFP) can be used to reliably space children, help infertile couples achieve pregnancy, increase body literacy and help diagnose and wholistically treat women’s health issues? In honor of Natural Family Planning Awareness Week, July 23-29, parishes are encouraged to share the attached flier with more information in their bulletins. Color and black and white versions are available. Contact the family life office at 814.824.1261 with questions.

Eucharistic Revival webinar
As an introduction to the next phase of the Eucharistic Revival, Bishop Andrew Cozzens will speak on how to bring the Eucharistic Revival to local parishes in a webinar on Aug. 1 at 8 p.m. Learn about the resources available to support this work and how you can play a key role. Cash bingo at Polish Falcons Club
Holy Trinity Parish in Erie is hosting a cash bingo on Aug. 13 at the Polish Falcons Club, 431 East 3rd St., Erie. Holy Hour for the Eucharistic Revival

Annual National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children
St. George Parish in Erie will host a prayer service on Sept. 9 following the 8 a.m. Mass to mark the 11th Annual National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children. The prayer service will be held at St. George Church, 5145 Peach St., Erie, and will last for approximately 45 minutes. Contact the parish office at 814.866.7532 for more information.


Administrative assistant for the International Missions Office/Chancery
The Office of International Missions and the Chancery Office of the Diocese of Erie are seeking a full-time administrative assistant. The candidate should possess at least a high school diploma with additional training in computers and business skills and three to five years of experience as an administrative assistant.
