Don’t miss the relics visiting the Diocese of Erie
“Jesus, come right in! Make yourself at home!” These are the words of Blessed Carlo Acutis, who passed away at the age of 15 in 2006. His work has been appreciated around the world through the website and posters he created about Eucharistic miracles. The only touring relic of Blessed Carlo, as well as a relic of St. Manuel González García — known as the Bishop of the Abandoned Tabernacle — will be available for public veneration at several locations around the Diocese of Erie beginning May 23. Please visit www.eriercd.org/relics.html to find the schedule as well as information about both men and insight into venerating relics. A graphic available for use in bulletins and social media is in the attachments. Come and join in this unique experience as part of the national Eucharistic Revival.

Parishioners, employees: Be cautious about sharing personal information
Staff at a Diocese of Erie parish recently received an email from a scam artist claiming to be their pastor, requesting financial help. Please include the following notice in your weekly bulletin and forward it to your employees and volunteers to keep everyone safe from fraud. Here is the suggested notice to be published:

In this age when personal data can be misused by scam artists, please be aware that the Roman Catholic Diocese of Erie, its clergy, and entities such as parishes and schools will never solicit your personal or business information by any method unless initiated by you. Should you receive an unsolicited request for such information – including a request for gift cards of any type – exercise extreme caution.
