The deadline for submissions is Thursday, Nov. 3, at 4:30 p.m.

The Diocese of Erie Information Bulletin advertises and promotes activities and events sponsored by diocesan entities such as parishes, schools, religious communities and groups. The IB is unable to advertise or promote activities or events not sponsored by such entities. Submissions may run a maximum of two editions. The administrative offices of the diocese reserve the right to edit submissions.

2022 Catholic Campaign for Human Development
Please find attached Bishop Persico’s letter introducing the 2022 collection for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development, to be taken on the weekend of Nov. 20. Parishes are asked to publicize this collection in a significant way on the weekend of November 12.

Eucharist: Food for the Journey
As part of the Eucharistic Revival, the five united Catholic churches of the DuBois area will host a family evening on the Eucharist with prayer, learning and fellowship on Nov. 10 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Msgr. Ed Lohse will be the guest speaker on the topic of the Eucharist and welcoming. This event takes place at St. Bernard Church, 205 Taylor Ave., Falls Creek. The evening includes Eucharist adoration, the sacrament of reconciliation, Msgr. Lohse’s reflection, a light meal and activities for children. All are welcome.  

Safeguarding the Sacred
St. Jude the Apostle Parish in Erie is hosting an inter-faith panel discussion, Safeguarding the Sacred, on the pastoral challenge of protecting faith communities from external violence on Nov. 16 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The program will be held at St Jude the Apostle Church, 1801 W. 6th St., Erie. Annual feather party scheduled Nov. 19
The 62nd Annual Our Lady of Mount Carmel feather party will be held on Nov. 19 at Scheffner Hall, 1531 East Grandview Blvd., Erie. The event will run from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Doors open immediately following the 4:15 p.m. Mass. Admission is free. The evening will feature free refreshments, tips, instants, bottle raffles, a wine booth, fruit basket raffles and the opportunity to win your Thanksgiving turkey. The evening will conclude with a cash raffle with three prizes awarded: $1500, $250 and $100. Advent centering prayer retreat
The Bethany Retreat Center in Frenchville is hosting an Advent retreat on Dec. 2-4 for those interested in deepening the transforming love of God in the midst of silence and solitude. The event will be held at the Bethany Retreat Center, 1031 Germania Rd., Frenchville. The weekend will include centering prayer, conferences with contemplative dialogue, meals and Sunday liturgy. Annual Christmas market
The Holy Trinity Parish education program is hosting its annual Christmas market on Dec. 16 from 4 to 7 p.m. and Dec. 17 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Holy Trinity Social Center, 650 E. 23rd St., Erie. Orders will be taken from Nov. 5 to Dec. 5. See attached flier and order form for details.
