Bishop Persico announces weekend of prayer for pastoral planning
The weekend of January 13-14 pastoral planning has been designated by Bishop Persico as a weekend of prayer for Pastoral Planning across the Diocese of Erie. As with every endeavor we undertake, prayer must be at the center of our efforts. By calling the people and clergy of the diocese together to pray with and for each other, it is our hope that the Holy Spirit will permeate our minds and hearts to embrace possibilities never considered, and to walk the path of faith without fear. Guidance from the Office for Divine Worship for the weekend is attached. Contact Maripat Grant in the Office for Divine Worship at mgrant@eriercd.org or 814.824.1271 with any questions.

Catholic Education Collection funds reminder
Pastors and administrators are reminded, if you have not already done so, to please submit one-half of the funds collected from the 2023 Catholic Education Collection as soon as possible. As you are aware, the other half of the funds remain in the parish to be used for the faith formation needs of parishioners of all ages. Last year, 100 percent of the parishes sent in contributions that helped subsidize the Religious Education Enrichment Fund (REEF), Catholic Foundation of Northwest PA, Bishop’s Tuition Assistance and a small donation to The Catholic University of America. If you have any questions or need assistance, contact Kathleen Robbinson in the Catholic Schools Office at krobbinson@eriercd.org or 814.824.1220.

Office for Divine Worship monthly newsletter
The Office for Divine Worship presents a monthly newsletter to aid in preparing celebrations that will occur in that particular month. The January newsletter is attached.

Notification from the USCCB concerning copyrights
Please be advised that readings may not be printed in worship aids, bulletins or shown on a screen for Liturgies without proper licensing from the USCCB. To license the readings, parishes can contact Mary Elizabeth Sperry at msperry@usccb.org. Contact the Office for Divine Worship at mgrant@eriercd.org or 814.824.1271 with any questions.
