2026 Catholic Services Appeal Update
Please be reminded that this weekend, Feb. 7-8, is Promotion Weekend for the 2026 Catholic Services Appeal. The following weekend, Feb. 14-15, is Commitment Weekend. Parish CSA Materials have been shipped and should have already arrived at your parish. Be sure to open boxes when they arrive and check the contents. Now is the time to put up posters, have CSA brochures available in the church and parish office, and include announcements about the CSA in your parish bulletin and e-newsletters. The 2026 CSA video is available to download. Free Toner cartridges
Free toner cartridges are available for select HP printer models, including two cartridges and one envelope feeder for the HP LaserJet M601, M602 and M603. 22:32 Men’s Conference
The 13th Annual 22:32 Men's Conference will be held on Saturday, March 7, at St. Jude the Apostle Parish, 2801 W. 6th St., Erie. The event will be livestreamed throughout the Erie diocese and beyond. 22:32 Men seek to live the passage from Luke 22:32—“But I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”

14th annual Knights of Columbus Chess Tournament
The DuBois Knights of Columbus, Council #519, will hold a free chess tournament on Saturday, Feb. 28, beginning at 11 a.m. The tournament will be held at St. Michael’s Church, 15 Robinson St., DuBois. There will be 3-4 rounds using a Swiss scoring system. The tournament is non-rated and a free lunch will be provided for the players. All grade level players will receive a chess pin upon arrival. Awards will be presented to the four different age categories. It is recommended that players bring their own chess sets, clocks are optional.
Shamrock Showdown
The second annual “battle of the brains” Shamrock Showdown, to benefit St. Patrick’s Haven will be held on Saturday, March 7, from 5-9 p.m. at the Bayfront Convention Center, 1 Sassafras Pier, Erie. There will be six rounds of trivia with prizes for the top three teams. An extra prize will be granted to the team that’s dressed the best to reflect the team’s name. A simple meal is available—the same as St. Patrick Haven shelter guests will be served that evening. There will also be a 50/50 and basket raffles. Card bar only. Tickets are $50 per person or $400 per team of eight. Register by Feb. 20. See attached flyer for more information and to register.
Art & Sole 5k
Register now for the annual Art & Sole 5k which benefits the Inner-City Neighborhood Art House, 201 E 10th St., Erie. The run/walk will be held on Saturday, May 9, with the 5k beginning at 9 a.m. and the 1k at 9:45 a.m. See attached flyer to register.
Word Made Flesh Altar Server Retreat
The Word Made Flesh Altar Server Retreat will take place on Saturday, Feb. 28, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Cathedral Preparatory School, 250 W. 10th St., Erie, and St. Peter Cathedral, 230 W. 10th St., Erie. Open to altar servers in grades 6–12, the free retreat will include opportunities for prayer, learning and fellowship through talks, Eucharistic Adoration and the Sacrament of Confession. Bishop Lawrence Persico will be present and will offer a reflection. Participants are asked to dress in Sunday attire and bring a water bottle. Registration is required by Feb. 21. Pancake and Sausage Super Bowl breakfast
St. Stanislaus Parish, 516 E. 13th St., Erie, will host a pancake and sausage breakfast on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 8, following the 9 a.m. Mass. Breakfast will be served from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $6 and includes pancakes, sausage and coffee or tea. Tickets will be available at the door. Proceeds will benefit St. Stanislaus Parish.
Mardi Gras Celebration
St. Francis Xavier Parish, 8880 Main St., McKean, will host its 18th annual Mardi Gras celebration on Friday, Feb. 13, from 6 to 10 p.m. The event is open to adults age 21 and older. The cost is $20 per person and includes food and beverages, with homemade desserts available. Raffle and cash prize drawings will be held throughout the evening, including a $500 prize with the entry ticket and a “Show Me the Money” grand prize of $1,000. Tickets for additional drawings are $5 each or five for $20. Proceeds will support parish property needs and ongoing evangelization efforts. See the parish flyer for more information.
Soup, Salad and Soul Series—Lent 2026
St. George Parish, 5145 Peach St., Erie, will host a Lenten dinner and speaker series each Tuesday during Lent. Evenings will begin with Mass at 5:15 p.m., followed by dinner and a guest speaker at 6 p.m. in the school cafeteria. Each week will feature a different priest sharing his vocation story, how he serves and supports the lay faithful, and reflections on the needs of the Church today and hope for the future. Speakers include Fr. Brandon Feikles on Feb. 24, Fr. Luke Daghir on March 3, Fr. Michael Scanga on March 10, Fr. Joseph Petrone on March 17 and Fr. Ben Daghir on March 24. St. Giuseppe Moscati Guild Lenten Retreat
St. Joseph/Bread of Life Parish, 147 West 24th St., Erie, will host a morning Lenten retreat on Saturday, Feb. 28, from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Registration begins at 8 a.m., followed by Mass and a light breakfast. Rev. Joseph Petrone will lead the retreat, offering reflections to help participants prepare for the Lenten season. Attendees are asked to bring any writing materials needed for personal reflection. Time for the Sacrament of Confession will be available. The cost is $15, payable by cash or check. Members of the St. Giuseppe Guild may attend at no cost. Wild Game, Fish and Fellowship Dinner
Knights of Columbus Council #4321 and St. George Parish, 5145 Peach St., Erie, will host a Wild Game, Fish and Fellowship Dinner on Saturday, April 18, beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria. The evening will feature a meal of freshly prepared wild game and fish, time for fellowship and a special guest speaker. Tickets are available through the rectory office. The Diocese of Erie is seeking a full-time Confidential Executive Assistant to support the Catholic Schools Office. The ideal candidate will be organized, professional and committed to the mission of Catholic education. Responsibilities include serving as the first point of contact for the office, preparing communications, providing administrative support and assisting with personnel and program management. A high school diploma with related administrative experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office is required; school experience preferred.
