The deadline for submissions is Thursday, March 9, at 4:30 p.m.

The Diocese of Erie Information Bulletin advertises and promotes activities and events sponsored by diocesan entities such as parishes, schools, religious communities and groups. The IB is unable to advertise or promote activities or events not sponsored by such entities. Submissions may run a maximum of two editions. The administrative offices of the diocese reserve the right to edit submissions.

Microsoft discontinues support on Windows 8 and Office 2013
Windows 8 and 8/1 are no longer safe to use. It has been retired by Microsoft. To avoid identity thieves from compromising your parishioners’ personal information, you must upgrade to Windows 10 or 11 as soon as possible. Microsoft is also retiring Office 2013 on April 11. You can purchase Office through the Diocese of Erie for $36 per person per year. Inquiries may be directed to Kathy Papalia at it@eriercd.org or 814.824.1184.

International Catholic Stewardship Council newsletter
The Catholic Foundation is happy to share the attached March edition of the International Catholic Stewardship Council newsletter (English and Spanish versions are available). Pastors and parish staff are encouraged to read and share this publication with their parishioners, using all or parts of it for their parish bulletin, with credit to the author/source.

2023 Catholic Services Appeal update
With Commitment Sunday behind us, the Diocese of Erie thanks everyone for the good work they have done to promote giving to this year’s Catholic Services Appeal (CSA). Parishes are asked to utilize their parish leadership handbook for follow-up and thank-you letter ideas, etc. Those resources can also be found online at: https://www.eriercd.org/Catholic-Services-Appeal-CSA-Materials.html. Please contact Julia Cooney at 814.824.1253 or jcooney@cfnwpa.org to request additional CSA supplies or with any questions.

Holy Hour for Priestly Vocations
Holy Rosary and St. John the Baptist parishes in Erie are hosting a Holy Hour for vocations to the priesthood each Thursday during Lent from 7-8 a.m. in the Holy Rosary Chapel, 2701 East Ave., Erie. Mass follows at 8 a.m. See flier for details.

The Epiphany of the Lord fish dinners
The Epiphany of the Lord Parish in Meadville is hosting Lenten fish dinners every Friday during Lent until March 31 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the St. Brigid social hall, 383 Arch St., Meadville. Price is $12. See flier for details.

Our Lady of Mercy in Harborcreek to hold parish mission
Our Lady of Mercy Parish in Harborcreek is hosting a parish mission centered around the Eucharist on March 12 at 4 p.m. at the parish, 837 Bartlett Rd., Harborcreek. Father Chris Singer, chancellor and master of ceremonies for the Diocese of Erie, will present Epiphany to Ascension: Jesus, Eucharist and Great Coffee. The mission will explore how God is with us through the themes of the Christmas, Lent and Easter seasons. The event is free and open to the public. See flier for details.

Four Leaf Clover Celebration
Blessed Sacrament Parish in Erie is hosting its Four Leaf Clover Celebration on March 18 from 5-9 p.m. at Geiger Hall, 1626 West 26th St., Erie. Music and fun are provided by Erie’s Choice Finalist Lisa Keating, mobile DJ. Admission is $5. Tickets are available at the parish office. Call the parish office with questions at 814.454.0171.

Spirituality and art
The Bethany Retreat Center in Frenchville is hosting a spring retreat on spirituality and art. Card party tickets on sale
The annual St. Mark Seminary Auxiliary Card Party will take place on April 20 at 6 p.m. in the St. Mark Catholic Center gym, 429 E. Grandview Blvd., Erie. Pilgrimage to Lancaster
Our Lady of Peace Parish in Erie is hosting a pilgrimage to Lancaster from June 13-15 to the Sights and Sounds Theatre to see Moses. The package includes two nights of lodging, two breakfasts and dinners, and several other events, Masses and tours. RSVP by April 6. See flier for details.
