Eucharistic revival begins with processions throughout diocese, nation

       “It was edifying to all of us to see so many people,” said Bishop Lawrence Persico, who carried the monstrance the entire length of the procession. “It was a good crowd of people who spent time in prayer and devotion. Young and old, people with walkers, it was impressive. Quite an event to open the Eucharistic revival.”

Eucharistic Revival launches on national, diocesan levels

       “Christ is present to us in a very real way in the Eucharist,” says Erie Bishop Lawrence Persico. “It is a great gift that he has given us. The night before he died, he gave us himself to be with us always. Any time we attend Mass and receive the Eucharist, we are receiving that gift. First-class relic of Blessed Carlo Acutis in the US for Eucharistic revival

       Archbishop Domenico Sorrentino of the Diocese of Assisi-Nocera Umbra-Gualdo Tadino in Italy accompanied the an important relic of Blessed Carlo Acutis to the United States, where it will remain during the multi-year Eucharistic revival which will be launched on Corpus Christi Sunday, June 19, 2022.
       “Blessed Carlo Acutis was an Italian teenager who used technology to spread devotion to the Eucharist before his death at age fifteen from leukemia in 2006,” the USCCB said in a statement released April 8.
