Diocese to sponsor ecumenical prayer service for an end to violence, racism

Bishop Lawrence Persico will preside at the service, scheduled at Sacred Heart Parish, 816 W. 26th St., Erie. Bishop Dwane Brock of Erie’s Victory Christian Center will offer a reflection. The prayer service is sponsored by Catholic Charities’ Office of Social Justice and Life and is supported by Catholic laity from several parishes who have been engaged in prayer and study of the church’s teaching against racism. People of all faiths are warmly invited to attend.
