The Mission of the International Needs Collection
The annual International Needs Collection in the Diocese of Erie supports the Church’s outreach to those in need around the world. This collection is taken up on May 23–24 and provides a direct way for the faithful to respond to Christ’s call to serve others. For generations, the Church has cared for those who are suffering—offering both spiritual support and humanitarian assistance. This collection continues that mission by extending the reach of the Diocese of Erie beyond our local communities.
Funds raised support:
• Faith formation and Church rebuilding in Central and Eastern Europe
• Humanitarian aid through Catholic Relief Services
• Growing Church communities in Africa
Why Participate?
By supporting the International Needs Collection, the faithful of the Diocese of Erie care for those in need across the globe. This collection reflects our shared responsibility as members of the universal Church.
It is a meaningful way to live the Gospel—serving others, strengthening the Church and bringing Christ’s love to the world.
