Eucharistic Processions for Corpus Christi – Sunday, June 7
On the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, Sunday, June 7, parishes throughout the Diocese of Erie will host Eucharistic processions as a public witness to the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. All are invited to participate in prayer, adoration and thanksgiving as the Blessed Sacrament is carried through parish communities across our 13 counties. Parish resources available for USCCB's “We Hold These Truths” 250th US anniversary initiative
The Office for Divine Worship, in collaboration with the Office of Communications & Advancement, has prepared parish resources for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ “We Hold These Truths” campaign commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States. Resources for parish use during Mass, Adoration and other parish activities — including bulletin inserts, social media graphics, prayers and a letter from Bishop Lawrence T. Persico — are available at https://www.eriercd.org/250-resources.html. A dedicated landing page for the faithful has also been created at https://www.eriercd.org/250.html.
As part of this effort, the Diocese of Erie is participating in “250 Hours of Adoration,” encouraging one hour of Eucharistic Adoration per person between June 11 and July 4. Parishes are encouraged to host Eucharistic Adoration during this time. Adoration opportunities submitted by parishes will be published on the diocesan website for the faithful to join. Please email your parish Adoration date, time and location to IBEditor@ErieRCD.org.

As the Diocese of Erie prepares for the Installation/Ordination Mass of our next bishop, a dedicated microsite is now available. The site has many useful resources for prayer and important information about the episcopal transition. October Count Parish Resources and May 15 Promotion
The Diocese of Erie has completed a comprehensive October Count Report, offering a clear snapshot of Sunday Mass attendance and participation across our 13 counties. This report will also be featured in the May edition of Faith magazine, arriving in homes mid-May. To support parish communication, materials are available for parish staff, including bulletin inserts, graphics, social media content, web banners and pulpit announcements. Parishes are asked to promote the October Count the weekend of May 15 using these materials, helping share this diocesan-wide update with the faithful.
International Needs Collection – May 23-24
The International Needs Collection will be taken in all parishes the weekend of May 23–24, supporting the Church’s outreach to those in need around the world. Parishes are asked to promote the collection the weekend prior and the weekend of May 23–24 using available resources: https://www.eriercd.org/international-needs.html. Scam Alert
Scammers are contacting parish staff and parishioners pretending to be the pastor. These messages often ask for gift cards or money. A bulletin announcement has been prepared for you to share in your parish bulletin:
Scam Alert: Parishioners and staff are receiving fraudulent messages from individuals posing as the pastor, often requesting gift cards or money. These are scams. Do not respond or send money. Always verify any request by calling the parish using the official phone number listed in the bulletin or on the parish website—never a number provided in the message. The Diocese of Erie, its clergy, parishes and schools will not request money or personal information through unsolicited emails, texts or calls. Report suspected scams to the Federal Trade Commission at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.

Family Adoration at St. George Parish
Looking for a way to worship and grow together as a family? St. George Parish, 5145 Peach St., Erie is hosting Family Adoration every third Thursday of the month. Beginning May 21 from 6-7 p.m., the evening begins with an intro to adoration, praise and worship, readings from the bible, and come to Jesus (children are invited to come to the altar), Litany of saints and prayer for vocations, and more singing! Purse Bingo
The Saint Lawrence Ladies of the Rosary is hosting a Purse Bingo on Saturday, May 30. This event will be held at the St. Lawrence Parish Center, 145 E. Pearl St,, Albion, with doors opening at 11:30 a.m. and bingo beginning at 1. Tickets are $30 per person and include lunch and snacks. Immaculate Conception golf scramble
Immaculate Conception Parish is hosting their second annual golf scramble on Saturday, May 30 at Pinecrest Country Club, 29 West Pinecrest Lane, Brookville. There will be a shotgun start at noon. The cost is $100 per person and includes: 18 holes of golf and cart, food at the turn, non-alcoholic beverages, and Toby Hill Pinecrest dinner. St. Boniface, Kersey Feast Day family fest
St. Boniface Parish, 355-359 Main St., Kersey, will be celebrating their Feast day on Friday, June 5. Beginning at 5 p.m. with a Mass celebration, there will be fun and fellowship available for the whole family! There will be live music by the Trixx Band, food and drinks (ID required), kids activities, and small games of chance. All activities will be outside in the parking lot, weather pending. St. Hippolyte Chicken and Biscuit Dinner
On Sunday May 17, from noon- 2 p.m., St. Hippolyte Parish, 26012 N. Frenchtown Rd., Guys Mills, is hosting a chicken and biscuit dinner, which includes: Large biscuit smothered in chicken and gravy, mashed potatoes, corn, coleslaw, beverages and homemade dessert and a basket raffle. Cost is by donation. All proceeds will be going to the current St. Hippolyte Cemetery project for ongoing maintenance needs such as repairing or replacing older foundations, repairing broken tombstones and leveling and re-seeding low areas. St. Joseph Parish golf outing
St. Joseph Parish in Force is hosting their 6th annual St. Joseph Parish golf outing on Saturday, June 13 at DuBois Country Club, 10 Lakeside Ave, DuBois. Shotgun start at 9 a.m. Cost is $85 per person or $65 for members and includes: greens fees, cart, lunch, dinner prizes and refreshments on the course. There will be 50/50 prizes, sill prizes, 1st and 2nd place monetary prizes, best ball, four man scramble format. $10,000 hole in one sponsored by St. Marys Insurance. Free concert at All Saints Parish
All Saints Parish, 11264 Rt. 97 N, Waterford, will host Catholic composer, musician and speaker Steve Angrisano for a concert on Friday, May 29, at 7 p.m. Registration is required via the QR code on the poster, at www.allsaintsrcc.org or by calling the parish office at (814) 796-3023. St. Stephen’s Parish fundraiser
St. Stephen’s Parish will hold a Quesadilla Lunch fundraiser at St. Jude School cafeteria, 2801 W. 6th St., Erie, on Saturday, May 16, from 12–2 p.m. and 3–6 p.m. Cost is $15 per plate and includes rice and beans, salad, chips and salsa, and a choice of chicken, steak or veggie quesadilla. Tickets may be purchased in advance at www.saintjude.church or at the school office; walk-ins are welcome.
